QR - bills

As part of harmonising and digitising payment transactions, QR-bill replaced the current red and orange payment slips as of 1st October 2022.

Managing QR-bills with BPS (SUISSE)

1. For QR-bills recipients

BPS (SUISSE) Clients have three different options to pay using the simple QR-bill method:

  • BPS (SUISSE) GoBanking app
    With the app, users can check balances/transfers and scan QR-bills. To scan QR-bills, simply line up the QR code printed on the invoice on your smartphone; the data required for the payment will be uploaded directly to GoBanking.
    For payments to new beneficiaries and/or amounts over CHF 1000.--, authorisation will be required on the web version of GoBanking.
    If you do not have the BPS SUISSE GoBanking app, note that our platform is compatible with a few special optical readers (e.g. PayEye from Crealogix) - for further information, please contact our Call Center.
     
  • Manual entry in GoBanking
    As is currently the case with orange payment slips, you can enter the payment data specified on the QR-bill manually in GoBanking, using the “QR Invoice Payment” function.
     
  • BPS Direct
    The QR-bill can be paid at a sub-branch in the same way as a normal payment, or via BPS Direct payment.

We remind to update already registered orders (single or standing orders) with the new references as per the QR-bill in good time.

2. For QR-bills issuers

Issuing in GoBanking

In GoBanking, BPS (SUISSE) Clients have a QR-bill generator at their disposal, which allows them to generate their own QR-bills to be credited to their BPS (SUISSE) accounts.

The following QR-bill versions can be generated:

  • QR-bill with QR reference (current orange payment slip – BESR)
  • IBAN without a reference (with or without reason for payment – current red payment slip – IS).

Obtaining/activating QR-IBAN

  • Clients who have already set up an account for the collection of BESR invoices can view their own QR-IBAN in GoBanking under “Asset”, by selecting the account under “BESR SUPSENSE ACCOUNTS”. 
    If you have any questions, our Call Center will be happy to help you.
     
  • Clients who do not yet have an account for the collection of invoices and would like to activate it should contact our Call Center.
